January Window Inspiration

January Window Inspiration

January's shop window was inspired by an exhibit I saw when visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The exhibit featured Sara Berman, an immigrant who came to New York City, and created a new home in Greenwich Village. Her small apartment closet was recreated for the exhibit, which showed her meticulously organized possessions.  Her mostly all white apparel was on display, as well as some of her most used items. Sara Berman's closet not ultimately became a symbol for a new life in a new country.

With the fresh start of a new year, January seemed like the perfect time to showcase a minimal wardrobe in the window, inspired by Sara Berman's closet,  that could inspire each viewer to organize and reinvent their own wardrobe.
